Starting with October 1, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih increases wages and tariffs for its employees by 8%.

“We’re working in the difficult financial and economic situation, caused by the metal price drop on the world markets, as well as energy carriers and railroad transportation tariffs rise. In January-August AMKR hold the second position among the major metal companies of Ukraine as to the average monthly salary – 7911.8 UAH. Despite the continuing decrease of the metal demand and price, the management of the company decided to increase the wages to additionally protect its employees”, said the company labor department head Irina Samoylenko.

Since 2005, when the average monthly salary was 1521.9 UAH, it has grown 5 times. (Ukrainian metal)
