In August Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works reached the maximum of its galvanized rolled metal output – 30 thousand tons. Half of the products were produced according to Eurostandards.
The new type of galvanized metal, produced according to EN 10346, is in demand by local consumers – metal construction, roofing, and window section manufacturers.
Ilyich products have thicker galvanizing (140 g per sq. m) resulting in the longer operation. At the same time, the low quality Chinese metal has only 60 g per sq. m coating.
In January-August the works exported 60 thousand tons of galvanized rolled metal. (Ukrainian metal)
