The State Border Guard has prevented the illegal export of 69 thousand tons of scrap to the Russia-annexed Crimea.
In just one week border checks stopped 14 railroad cars with 772 tons of ferrous scrap and found out that the cargo didn’t have any documents.
Moreover, the border guards have informed the Ministry for Domestic Affairs Office in the Kherson region about the negligence of the Kherson Customs officers during the registration of the scrap.
All in all perpetrators planned to move 69 thousand tons of metal scrap to Crimea.
Earlier the Anti-terrorist operation Headquarters have informed that the pro-Russian separatists were forming groups to disassemble metal constructions and sell them to Russia. (Ukrainian Metal)
