In January-June Ukraine exported 796.58 thousand tons of pig iron worth $217.95 million, down by 41.3% and 56.2% YoY respectively.
According to the Customs statistics, the main importers of Ukrainian pig iron in the first half year were Italy (29.43%), Turkey (23.93%) and USA (14.09%).
At the same time, imports of pig iron into Ukraine also fell – by 22.4% YoY to 2.69 thousand tons, worth $924 thousand tons, down by 38.6% YoY. The main supplier of pig iron to Ukraine was Russia (92.76%). (Ukrainian Metal)
