In January major Ukrainian pipe companies decreased their output of ferrous pipes by 10.1%, to 78.3 thousand tons, YoY. In December 2014 pipe output was 94.3 thousand tons, in November 2014 – 102.3 thousand tons.
Khartsyszk Pipe Works (Donetsk region), situated in the anti-terrorist operation zone, in January increased pipe output 2.2 times, to 16.5 thousand tons, YoY, but decreased it by 53.4% MoM.
Military actions haven’t affected other pipe companies that much, as they are mostly situated in the Dniepropetrovsk region.
In January Interpipe-NTZ produced 16 thousand tons of steel, down by 31.9% YoY, Interpipe NMTZ – by 53.1%, to 7.6 thousand tons, while Interpipe Niko Tube produced 34.6% more pipes – 24.9 thousand tons.
Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works produced 0.1 thousand tons against 1.3 thousand tons in January 2014. Lugansk Tube Plant was idle.
Kominmet and Centravis decreased their pipe output by 22.7%, to 10.2 thousand tons, and by 15.8%, to 1.6 thousand tons, respectively. AG Steel Ltd in Mariupol was idle in January, but a year ago it produced 2 thousand tons of pipes. Dniepropetrovsk Tube Works decreased its pipe output by 57.1%, to 1.2 thousand tons.
