In January-May Evraz – Dniepropertrovsk Iron and Steel Works named after Petrovsky produced 377 thousand tons of rolled metal, up by 5% YoY.
According to a company representative, in the given period the works increased its steel smelting by 0.2%, to 421 thousand tons, and pig iron manufacture by 5.3%, to 417 thousand tons.
In May metal works produced 78 thousand tons of rolled metal, 83 thousand tons of steel and 86 thousand tons of pig iron.
In June Petrovsky intends to produce 93 thousand tons of steel and 91 thousand tons of pig iron.
According to Denis Frolov, the commercial director, the works supplies 22 types of products to the world market.
In 2013 Petrovsky produced 866 thousand tons of rolled metal, 997 thousand tons of steel and 977 thousand tons of pig iron, up by correspondingly 23.3%, 21.5% and 14% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
