In January-May Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, a part of the Metinvest group, produced 1.59 million tons of rolled metal, down by 10.4% YoY.
In the given period steel output fell by 16.1%, to 1.82 million tons, while pig iron manufacture went up by 10.6%, to 2.17 million tons, and that of sinter – by 1.5%, to 5.43 million tons.
In May Ilyich produced 322 thousand tons of rolled metal, 374 thousand tons of steel, 436 thousand tons of pig iron and 1.16 million tons of sinter.
In June the works plans to produce 373 thousand tons of steel, 453 thousand tons of pig iron and 1.06 million tons of sinter. (Ukrainian metal)
