In January-May Ukrainian metal companies earned $6007 million on ferrous metals export, down by 2.4% YoY.
According to the customs statistics, ferrous metals exports rose to 24.74% of total exports from 22.62% a year ago.
In May ferrous metals exports brought $1378.98 million to Ukraine.
At the same time Ukraine decreased ferrous metals imports by 39%, to $542 million, including $106.97 million in May.
In January-May metal wares exports decreased by 34.7%, to $746.13 million with $165.23 million in May, while imports fell by 20.2%, to $355.44 million ($62.91 million in May).
In 2013 Ukrainian metal companies exported $14319.27 million worth of ferrous metals, up by 6.7% YoY, with imports totaling $2230.66 million.
Metal wares exports in 2013 were on the level of $2589.83 million, with imports at $1205.05 million. (Ukrainian metal)
