In January Ferrexpo plc (UK), controlling Poltava and Yeristov Mining Processing Complexes (PGOK and EGOK), increased iron ore concentrate output by 10.9%, to 1.197 million tons, as compared with January 2013.


That marks the maximum result since August 1983 when the company entered the business and PGOK produced 1.188 million tons.

In January PGOK produced 943 thousand tons of pellets of its own ore, up by 9.6% YoY, while the output of pellets of other ore was on the level of 42 thousand tons.

In 2013 PGOK increased its output of pellets of its own raw materials by 11.2%, to 10.466 million tons, and that of the other raw materials – by 23.5%, to 347.5 thousand tons, all YoY.

That resulted in the increase of the total pellets output by 11.6%, to 10.813 million tons.
