According to the data issued by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers, in the first eight months of the current year Ukraine registered a 0.4% decrease in its finished steel product output to 19.596 million tons, a 0.7% increase in its crude steel output to 22.156 million tons and a 1.9% rise in its pig iron production to 19.455 million tons, all year on year.
The country’s production of metallurgical coke in the given period declined by 8.4% year on year to 11.860 million tons.
In August Ukraine produced 2.806 million tons of crude steel, down by 0.1% month on month. (SteelGuru)
