In the January-February period of the current year the crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the Ukrainian subsidiary of the global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 1.047 million tons, up by 8.5% year on year, as announced by the company.
In addition, in the first two months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 7.2% increase year on year in its finished steel output to 908,400 tons. During the period in question pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 8.46% year on year to 914,400 tons.
In February alone crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 24.6% to 510,400 tons, output of finished steel went up by 19.3% to 438,500 tons and production of pig iron moved up by 20.9% to 441,200 tons all on year on year basis. (SteelGuru)
