According to the data issued by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers, in the first 11 months of the current year Ukraine registered an 11.5% decrease in its finished steel product output to 24,746 million tons, a 6.6% decrease in its crude steel output to 29.828 million tons and a 1.3% decline in its pig iron production to 26.171 million tons all YoY.
The country’s production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by 3.1% YoY to 17.401 million tons. In the January to November period this year Ukraine produced 60.743 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 20.337 million tons of iron ore pellets, up by 1.15% and 0.6% respectively compared to the same period last year.
In November alone Ukraine produced 2.687 million tons of crude steel, up by 1.3%, 2.185 million of finished steel products, up by 4% and 1.494 million tons of metallurgical coke, down by 0.4% all on MoM basis. (SteelOrbis)
