The Customs Union Commission ruled on July 20 to apply anti-dumping customs duties to metallurgical imports. Many of these imports are from Ukraine, whose government recently rejected Moscow’s proposal to become a member in its trade bloc.
The Ukrainian products to be affected are metal fasteners and pipes. These anti-dumping measures had already been in place in the Russian Federation but the July 20 ruling expands the measures to cover the entire territory of the recently launched Customs Union which includes Belarus and Kazakhstan.
