ArcelorMittal’s Ukraine unit said steel production declined 26% in June from a year earlier as a blast furnace functioned erratically.
Its output declined to 358,100 tons from 485,700 tons a year ago.
Mr. Alexander Ioskov, who heads the production department at ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, said in an e-mailed statement that malfunctions at the blast furnace had been corrected and production would match last year’s from this month. (Bloomberg)
