It is reported that in 2010 Ukraine’s imports of long steel products increased by 79.2% YoY to 378,860 tons valued at $350.6 million.
In December 2010 Ukraine’s long steel product imports amounted to 32,680 tons, almost equal to the November 2010 level, but up by 34.6% YoY. About 60% of this volume (19,570 tons) came from Russia, 4,960 tons came from Bulgaria, 2,600 tons from Belarus, 2,140 tons from Romania, 940 tons from Poland and 610 tons were imported from China.
Ukraine’s expenditure on imports of long steel products in December 2010 was down by 0.2% MoM, decreasing to $33.3 million. (SteelOrbis)
