Ukraine’s largest steel mill, owned by ArcelorMittal, cut crude steel production to 450,000 tons last month from 534,000 in January 2010.
ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih reduced pig iron output by 16% to 389,000 tons and cut rolled steel production by 9.5% to 406,000 tons.
 In 2010 the mill boosted steel production to 6.13 million tons from 5.04 million tons in 2009. Rolled steel production rose to 5.41 million tons from 4.50 million, while pig iron output rose to 5.32 million from 4.42 million tons. (Reuters)
