Ukrainian pipe industry boosted its output by 4.8% MoM in December 2010 scoring 11.1% YoY growth. Impressive 39.8% production hike by Khartsyzsk Pipe Works was the chief contributor to monthly growth while Interpipe NITR and NVTR underperformed by 17.8% MoM and 5.6% MoM respectively.
According to a Millennium Capital analyst, “The news is positive for pipes. Khartsyzsk Pipe Works still lags by 41.0% behind last year’s production, but is showing healthy signs of recovery on the back of the Russian orders. On the opposite, Interpipe Group has significantly improved performance this year, despite the setback at the end of the year”. (Millennium Capital)
