It is reported that steel pipes exports jumped up 33.7% MoM in August primarily due to the threefold increase in large diameter pipes’ exports from 11.7 million tons in July to 38.7 million tons in August.
According to a Millennium Capital analyst “The news is positive for Ukrainian pipe makers. In addition to the trend-making 440% increase of large diameter pipes’ exports to Russia following the HRTR contract with Transneftegaz of Russia, note should be taken of a 5.8% increase in seamless pipes exports and a 6.8% growth in exports of other pipes. The trend is positive for Interpipe and smaller Ukrainian pipe producers”. (Millennium Capital)
