According to the information issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, up to December 31st 2009 Ukraine has utilized 31.71% of its annual quota for rebar exports to Russia and 48.87% of its new annual quota for cold-rolled steel exports to the same destination, supplying a total of 115,097 tons and 102,620 tons respectively.
According to the agreement between Russia and Ukraine, the 2009 yearly quota for Ukraine regarding rebar exports to Russia was 363,000 tons including 54,450 tons for the Q1, 127,050 tons for the Q2, 127,050 tons for the Q3 and 54,450 tons for the Q4 of 2009.
For 2010, Ukraine annual quota for rebar exports to Russia was determined at 400,000 tons including 60,000 tons for the first and Q4 respectively and 140,000 tons for the second and Q3 of the year. Meanwhile, also according to the agreement signed between the countries, Ukraine yearly quota for cold-rolled exports to Russia stands at 210,000 tons for the 12 months from July 1st 2009 to June 30th 2010.
