It is reported that Ukrainian ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih reduced finished rolled steel output in January to November 2009 by 20.4% YoY to 4.057 million tons, steel – by 23.9% to 4.540 million tons, iron – by 26.2% to 3.975 million tons, agglomerate – by 21.9% to 7.107 million tons.
In November the plant produced 414,000 tons of finished rolled steel, 519,000 tons of steel, 447,000 tons of iron and 779,000 tons of agglomerate.
Coke chemical department of the plant in 11 months of 2009 reduced the production by 13.8%, to 2.132 million tons. In November 227,000 tons of coke was produced.
Mining department reduced the production of iron ore concentrate by 12.1% to 6.364 million tons, in November 614,000 tons of the concentrate were produced. Iron ore extraction was reduced by 25.8%, to 1.129 million tons, 90,000 tons were produced in November.
ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih is the biggest Ukrainian rolled steel producer. It exports its products to Middle East, European and Asian countries. (Prime-tass)
