According to the information issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, up to October 1st this year Ukraine utilized 22.04% of its annual quota for rebars export to Russia and 45.74% of its new annual quota for cold rolled steel exports to the same destination, supplying a total of 80,002 tonnes and 96,057 tonnes respectively.
According to the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine’s yearly quota for cold rolled exports to Russia stands at 210,000 tonnes for the 12 months from July 1st 2009 to June 30th 2010 up 5,000 tonnes compared to the previous annual quota. During the previous month, Ukraine significantly increased its exports of the products in question to the Russia with deliveries rising by almost 21% in September alone.

Meanwhile, also according to the agreement between the countries, the yearly quota for Ukraine regarding rebar exports to Russia is 363,000 tonnes for 2009. (SteelOrbis)
