In January-August Kazakhstan mined 28.21 million tons of iron ore, up by 9.7% YoY. According to the Statistics committee of the Ministry of National Economy, copper ore output totaled 68.16 million tons, up by 4.6%, gold-bearing ore – 13.789 million tons, up by 6.8%, and chromium concentrate – 3.24 million tons (+6.2%).
