ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih expects a further drop of metal output, as well as VAT reimbursement by 100-150 million UAH per month and foreign currency revenue by $50-100 million in case the electricity transmission tariff increases by 26%.
On November 13, it was decided that the tariff for electric energy transmission would be increased from 528.57 UAH to 665.26 UAH per MWh from 2025.
The company asked to look for alternative solutions to cover Ukrenegro operational expenses, noting that since 2022 electricity transmission price had already increased by 53%.
This and other factors led to a considerable growth of expenses at the enterprise.
“In such conditions manufacture becomes profitless and AMKR products lose competitiveness on global markets. In this situation we have decided to drastically decrease output from November”, the company said. (Ukrainian metal)
