DTEK Energo is actively attracting relocated people from other regions and women to work in its mines instead of mobilized men.
“Now almost each fourth DTEK Energo employee has been enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are protecting Ukraine. But the need for coal has not disappeared. So, instead of our employees who have gone to defend the country, we actively attract refugees who have been forced to leave their native towns due to the war,” CEO Ildar Saleyev has said.
So far, more than 3 thousand such people have been employed. Most of them had no mining professions and were retrained.
Women started to be employed at mines in auxiliary jobs not requiring physical strength. (Ukrainian metal)
