The Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan Bobir Islamov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan, Guido De Sanctis, to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.
The main attention during the talks was focused on the current state and further development of Uzbek-Italian interaction in the field of the mining industry and geology.
The interlocutors reviewed opportunities for cooperation in the metallurgical and hydrocarbon sectors, as well as the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects with the University of Pisa.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on implementing bilateral projects, attracting leading Italian companies, and developing partnerships in geological exploration, extraction, and processing of minerals. (UzDaily)
