Measures will be taken in Azerbaijan to develop the mining and metallurgy industries.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a corresponding decree.
The purpose of the decree is to accelerate the development of the country’s mining (metal ores) and metallurgy industries across the entire value chain, efficiently utilize mineral resources, expand high-value-added metal processing, and increase the export potential of metallurgy products.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare and submit to the President of Azerbaijan within four months a draft of the “State Program for the Development of the Mining (Metal Ores) and Metallurgical Industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027-2030.” (Report)
