Ukraine: scrap exports reorient to Poland from Turkiye

Ukraine has completely reoriented scrap exports to Poland, the State Customs Service says. Previously the main export direction was Turkiye, but since 2023, Polish companies had become main customers.

In 2023, they purchased 160.6 thousand tons of Ukrainian scrap, or 88% of all exports. In 2024, exports to Poland increased to 248.6 thousand tons, or 85% of exports.

In January-February, Polish companies received 38.85 thousand tons of Ukrainian scrap, or 94.8%. (Ukrainian metal)
