In January-June, Armenia increased exports of copper, zinc and molybdenum concentrate, as well as ore containing precious metals.
In particular, exports of copper concentrate grew by 14.5%, to 168.4 thousand tons valued at $267.6 million, up by 17.1%. The main buyer was China (71.6%), followed by Bulgaria (13.9%), Serbia (5.6%), Switzerland (4.4%), Russia (2.5%) and Iran (1.8%).
Exports of zinc concentrate increased by 17.7%, to 5 thousand tons valued ay $7.3 million, up by 17%. Everything, like a year before, was shipped to Belgium.
Exports of molybdenum concentrate went up by 49%, to 6 thousand tons valued at $112.5 million, up by 26%. The main customer was Belgium (35.5%), followed by Russia (17.3%), Hong Kong (12.2%), Korea (10.5%), China (10.1%), Thailand (9.8%), the Netherlands (3.9%) and Slovenia (0.4%).
The export of ore containing precious metals increased by 33.8%, to 11.1 thousand tons valued at $55.8 million, up by 60%. Almost everything, like a year before, was exported to Switzerland (68.1%), followed by Malaysia (31.8%) and small volumes to UK and the Netherlands.
In January-June, Armenia produced 144.6 thousand tons of copper concentrate, up by 15% YoY, 5.486 thousand tons of zinc concentrate, up by 20.8%, and 7.922 thousand tons of molybdenum concentrate, down by 25.2%. (Ukrainian metal)
