In January-September, Ukraine increased scrap exports by 54.4% YoY, to 202.421 thousand tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in September Ukraine exported 24.767 thousand tons of scrap, in August – 28.425 thousand tons, in July – 24.072 thousand tons, in June – 22.161 thousand tons, in May – 14.952 thousand tons, in April – 26.153 thousand tons, in March – 20.907 thousand tons, in February – 23.194 thousand tons and in January – 17.16 thousand tons.
In monetary terms exports grew by 71.4%, to $64.703 million.
The main customer was Poland (83.4% in monetary terms), followed by Greece (12.81%) and Germany (3.44%).
In January-September, Ukraine imported 90 tons of scrap for $104 thousand, down from 793 tons for $301 thousand last year. The main supplier was Turkiye (68.27%), followed by British Virgin Isles (13.46%) and Panama (6.73%). (Ukrainian metal)
