Ukraine: iron ore exports up in January-August 2024

In January-August, Ukraine increased iron ore exports 2.1-fold YoY, to 23.32 million tons. According to the State Customs Service, revenue amounted to $2.03 billion, up by 72.1%, and in August – $201.4 million (-12.1% MoM and +39.5% YoY). (Ukrainian metal)

In January-August, Ukraine increased ferrous metals imports by 18.3% YoY, to $1.011 billion. In August, imports amounted to $136.48 million. Metal wares exports decreased by 2.8% over 8 months, to $643.227 million, with $85,533 million exported in August. Imports grew by 35.2%, to $697.07 million ($84.99 million in August).
