The Ministry of Industry and Construction has announced the prolongation of the ban to export scrap for 6 more months since August 22.
The ban covers ferrous metal wastes, as well as used pipes and rails.
It is expected that the ban will provide local steel manufacturers with raw materials and increase capacity loading at plants that experience scrap shortage. (Ukrainian metal)
