Kyrgyzstan: temporary ban on export of scrap and waste ferrous metals imposed

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers signed a decree on imposing a temporary ban on the export of scrap and waste ferrous metals, ferrous metal ingots for remelting (charge ingots) from Kyrgyzstan.

According to the document, a temporary ban has been imposed for six months on the export of scrap and waste ferrous metals, ferrous metal ingots for remelting (charge ingots), classified by code 7204 of the EAEU Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature. The decree was signed on August 15 and came into force three days later.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of the temporary ban.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States in accordance with the established procedure about the introduction of the temporary ban.

The Customs Service and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security have been instructed to take the necessary measures aimed at preventing the illegal export of goods. (24.kg)
