In January-June, Ukraine exported 124.52 thousand tons of ferrous scrap, up by 35.3% YoY.
According to the State Statistics Service, in June exports reached 22.16 thousand tons, in May – 14.95 thousand tons, in April – 26.15 thousand tons, in March – 20.9 thousand tons, in February – 23.19 thousand tons and in January – 17.16 thousand tons.
In monetary terms exports have increased by 45.9%, to $39.76 million.
The main customer was Poland (84.88% in monetary terms) followed by Greece (11.18%) and Germany (3.77%).
In January-June, scrap imports amounted to 501 tons worth $250 thousand from Slovakia (47.01%), Turkiye (28.29%) and Poland (11.95%), while last year Ukraine imported 458 tons for $180 thousand. (Ukrainian metal)
