Ukraine: Ukrzaliznytsia unable to supply ore to Slovakia due to electricity shortages

Because of the limitations in electricity supply due to constant Russian attacks, Ukrzaliznytsia cannot fulfill its plan to deliver ore to Slovakia.

Thus, the transportation of ore via the Chop-Cierna nad Tisou route falls short of almost 40 thousand tons. That’s mostly sinter ore going to Metinvest. Moreover 11 thousand tons of PGOK iron ore have not been transported.

There is also non-fulfillment of plans to transport iron ore via the Uzhhorod-Matovce route. The difference is 59 thousand tons, of which almost 47 thousand tons are Metinvest pellets.

Daily, Ukrzaliznytsia transports 110-120 thousand tons of ore, or 90-92% of the target. (Ukrainian metal)
