In January-April, global steel output amounted to 625.37 million tons, down by 0.89% YoY.
According to Worldsteel, China was the traditional leader with 343.67 million tons of steel produced, down by 3%. Its share in global output amounted to 54.95%.
Ukraine produced 2.4 million tons of steel, up by 32.76%, and went up by one position in the global steel manufacturers’ rating, displacing Poland to the 21st place. (Ukrainian metal)
