In early May, the state company United Mining and Chemical Company reported on receiving a net profit of 30.2 million UAH in January-March.
According to the company managers, the positive result was due to successful sales of products on outer markets, expanding sales geography and developing logistics.
Yet, after a more detailed analysis of the financial and economical activity of the company, it was found out that the source of the profit was not the main activity of enterprises that were part of UMCC, but “other operational income”, that is the correction of the bookkeeping data. Thus, these “other operational income” amounted to 209.2 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
