In November, Ukraine procured 10.8 thousand tons of scrap, down by 76% MoM.
Procurement has been falling for two months in a row. While in September it amounted to 48 thousand tons, in October it dropped to 45.3 thousand tons.
In January-November, Ukraine procured 886.1 thousand tons of scrap, down by 76.6% YoY.
The decrease is due to the slowdown of the domestic demand for scrap. In particular, in November deliveries to metal companies amounted to 40.2 thousand tons. Such a level has been kept since September, when the metal plants received 41.6 thousand tons. In October, the figure grew to 46.2 thousand tons.
As of December 1, scrap stocks at metal companies went up to 30-35 thousand tons from 20-25 thousand tons in November. (Ukrainian metal)
