Zaporizhstal has launched two out of four blast furnaces that have been idle for almost a month since the start of the Russian invasion.
“This is a really historical day. Zaporizhstal has been working without suspension of operation for 75 years. Last time the blast furnaces were shut down during the World War II and relaunched in 1947,” the Ukrzaliznytsia chairman Alexander Kamyshin has said.
According to him, the launch of the company is very important, as this is the launch of the economy operation – thousands of employees will receive salaries, budgets of all levels – taxes and the railroad – tons of cargo. (Ukrainian metal)
