In January-February, Russia produced 9.6 million tons of unalloyed steel and semi-finished products, down by 2.9%.
According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, in February production decreased by 7.6% MoM and by 4.2% YoY.
Rolled metal manufacture totaled 10.4 million tons, up by 1.8% YoY, with February output down by 8.6% MoM and by 0.1% YoY.
The manufacture of steel pipes, hollow sections and fittings grew by 0.3%, to 1.9 million tons. In February output increased by 2% MoM, but dropped by 0.7% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
