The State Bureau of Investigations is suspecting the employees of the state enterprise Selidovugol and its separate division of the Mine 1-3 Novogrodovskaya in embezzling state funds while mining coal on the rented coalfields.
In 2012 the Mine 1-3 Novogrodovskaya LLC received coalfields of the state mine for 20 years. The company has concluded an agreement with the state miners to maintain the fields.
But the investigators believe that instead of maintaining the grounds, the company has been mining coal there.
The coal is mined using state machinery – 257 units valued at some 500 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
