Zaporizhstal is carrying out a program to set up LED-lighting on its territory and in its shops.
Instead of sodium lamps the company is switching to energy efficient LED-lamps with a lifetime of over 45 thousand hours.
4 million UAH were spent on the project.
The first stage saw replacement of lamps in the oxygen-compressor and blast furnace shops. Annual electricity consumption decreased by 730 thousand kW-h. The company was able to save some 1.2 million UAH.
This year LED-lamps have been installed in the steel-smelting shop and hot-rolling shop. Modernization of lighting system along the works roads is underway. (Ukrainian metal)
