Energomashspetsstal has won a tender and concluded a contract to produce 2 unique bulk rolls weighing 207 tons each to R&MS Solutionpartner GmbH (Luxembourg).
Supporting rolls will be used at the hot-rolling plate mill-5000.
EMSS competitors were German and Japanese manufacturers of rolls.
According to the agreement each roll will be manufactured of an ingot with the weight of 415 tons. The ingot will be made of a special medium-alloyed rolls steel developed by EMSS.
The length of the rolls will be 11 meters, the diameter of the drum – 2.25 meters and the length of the drum – 4.9 meters.
The first roll will be delivered in October 2020, and the second in November 2020 via railroad.
EMSS is the only manufacturer of bulk solid-forged rolls with the weight of 70 to 225 tons on the ex-Soviet territory. (Ukrainian
