Until the end of the year Sibir Coal Power Company (SUEK) intends to export over 50 million tons of coal.
“The launch of the Sila Sibiri gas pipeline will not affect our exports to China. Coal consumption is growing all over the Asian-Pacific Region, and China is not the main player. It’s one of the largest players alongside Japan and Korea. At the same time new markets are developing – Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines and Malaysia”, the CEO Vladimir Rashevsky noted.
Last year SUEK exported 55.4 million tons of coal, up by 2% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
