In 2018 Uralelectromed produced 400 thousand tons of copper cathodes, up by 5.8% YoY.
This is the highest result in the company 85 years of operation.
The output increase is due to the copper electrolysis second stage commissioning.
Last year copper wire rod output increased by 13%, to 170 thousand tons.
The company has also exceeded the output target of blue copperas by 8%, nickel sulfate – by 16% and tellurium – by 4%. (Ukrainian metal)
