Domnaremont specialists have finished assembling metal structures of the new blast furnace Cowper stoves at the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works.
The Cherepovchanka blast furnace No. 3 has four Cowper stoves. Their height is some 40 meters and the weight – 500 tons. The assembly started last September.
The blast furnace is expected to be blown in H2 2020. Its design capacity will exceed 3 million tons of pig iron per year. (Ukrainian metal)
