US has retained the 163% import duty on ferrosilicomanganese from Ukraine.
The country believes that if the duty is cancelled, local manufacturers will be severely hit.
The antidumping duty of 163% was set in 1994 as the result of the investigation initiated by local ferroalloys manufacturers.
In September 2006 it was prolonged for 5 years.
In October 2010 Ukrainian ferroalloy plants addressed the Department of Trade asking it to review the duty. But in 2012 it was prolonged again. (Ukrainian metal)
