The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has not taken any decision yet on the shut down of the Novovolynskaya mine No. 9.
According to the deputy minister Anatoly Korzun, the mine is intended to yield 90 thousand tons of coal next year and commission two new long faces.
“We see no need to shut down the mine at present. The ministry took no such decision”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
