In November Ukraine is expected to produce 1.8 million tons of steel and pig iron each, as well as 1.6 million tons of rolled metal.
As of October 10, 20 out of 21 blast furnaces, 8 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces, 14 out of 16 converters, 7 out of 15 electric arc furnaces and all the 14 continuous casting machines were in operation.
In September Ukraine produced 1.79 million tons of steel, 1.67 million tons of pig iron and 1.56 million tons of rolled metal. (Ukrainian metal)
