The salary debts to state miners amount to 348.1 million UAH.
According to the minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik, the debts arose from the difference in the sales price of coal and the prime cost of its extraction.
On August 22 a new bill took effect envisaging the provision of 1.4 billion UAH to pay salary to miners.
“Now with the Ministry of Finances we are looking for the sources to fund the project. We have created a general scheme. I think we will soon start paying the difference to miners”, he said to the government. (Ukrainian metal)
