Rushydro and Rusal have taken a pause in the construction of the Taishet Aluminum Plant because of the sanctions.
Earlier the Rushydro CEO Nikolai Shulginov noted that the company deemed it necessary to review the initial conditions of participation in the project.
Rusal began constructing the plant in Irkutsk region in 2006, but had to put the project on hold in 2009. In 2016 Rusal offered Rushydro to become a co-investor in the project as an alternative to constructing the second stage of Boguchanskiy Aluminum Works. (Ukrainian metal)
